DEVOTION OF THE WEEK
Devotion: “He Has Risen!” — Luke 24:6
Verse:
“He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee.” — Luke 24:6 (NIV)
When the women came to the tomb that early morning, they expected to find Jesus’ body. Instead, they found an empty tomb and heard these life-changing words: “He is not here; He has risen!”
This moment changed everything. Death had been defeated, and hope was restored. The same Jesus who had spoken of His resurrection had kept His promise. The angels reminded them, “Remember how He told you…” — a gentle call to trust His word even when circumstances seem hopeless.
💡 Reflection:
Just like the women at the tomb, we sometimes face situations that feel like dead ends — places where we expect to find disappointment or loss. But the resurrection reminds us that God is always at work, even in the darkest moments. His promises are sure, and His power brings life where there seems to be none.
🙏 Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You that You are alive! Help me to remember Your promises when I face uncertainty. Let the power of Your resurrection fill me with faith, hope, and courage each day. Amen.
